Loco Espresso - Ely Station
Our first installation of 2010 took place on a cold and snowy weekend of the 9th and 10th of January. The coffee shop located on the Ely train station platform had a new counter, several tegometall gondolas, a new raised suspended ceiling and 14 metres of wenge wall panelling fitted.

Lamorbey Wine - Sidcup Kent
Our final shopfit of a very busy 2009 was at a wine retailer in Sidcup, Kent. We designed built and installed 25 custom sized wine displays and a curved retail counter with lockable drawers. We also suppled 2 bottle chiller cabinets , all the printed headers and installed 3 panels of oak slatwall. The wine racks all have mini halogen lights fitted to the top to illuminate the wine bottles on display. The install was completed in a day and opened in time for Christmas and end of year sales.

Anglo Saxon Village - West Stow
During December we manufactured and supplied customised display units to the Anglo Saxon Village in West Stow. The order consisted of 10 freestanding slatwall units, 3 gondola units and 2 slatted glass display units. All of the displays were covered in a vinyl graphic using the customers supplied images giving them a unique and customised finish to match corporate colours.

Barbican Centre - London Library
One of our most visually impressive library installations has been completed at the Barbican Centre Library in the heart of London. The job entailed the manufacture and install of angled freestanding panels, wall mounted slatwall, a specialist LED lighting system, notice boards with leaflet holders, over 50 shelves, and 18 music browsers. Before the install we removed and disposed of all the existing units. The library image has been transformed completely and has given it an exciting and fresh new look.

Early Music Shop - Historical Instruments
Another shopfit took place this month, this time at the new Early Music Shop in Denmark Street London. Having outgrown their former premises as the London Recorder Centre they have taken up residence in the heart of Londons cultural music hub. We manufactured and installed new book displays, recorder displays and sheet music stands.

Frosts - Garden Centre
One of our local projects in November was to build a false wall using slatwall at Frosts Garden Centre in Brampton. The wall consisted of 13 maple slatwall panels with aluminium inserts, edging trim and Tegometal wall uprights. The build took just under a day and gave the garden centre a new area to use as a clothing display wall.

Musicroom - Portsmouth
We have just completed a 2 week shopfit of Musicrooms 17th store to open in the UK. The sheet music and instrument shop is located on Commercial Road in Portsmouth and will have a grand opening on 17th November 2009. The job entailed hanging over 70 sheets of maple and red slatwall, installing new carpet tiles, a logo printed entrance mat, toughened glass walls and new electrics and lighting. At International Displays we manufacture all our own browsers, counters and merchandise display stands. For this shopfit we produced and installed drum stick displays, recorder displays, sheet music browsers, glass showcases, and guitar displays. We hope the new store is a sucess for musicroom as they continue to expand across the UK.

Scorpion Shoes - Shoe Store
The proprietor of Scorpion Shoes, a high profile 3 storey shoe store in Camden Town approched us to provide a refit of their basement floor. The area required a complete facelift to bring it into line with the existing modern look and feel of the rest of the store. We cladded the walls in high gloss black laminated panelling and mounted the striking backlit white shoe display panels infront. All the units had illuminated headers at the top and safety backed mirror panels mounted in the bottom. We also supplied all the specially made pegs and ferrules to enable the display of the individual shoes.

Gwynned Libraries - Mobile Library
Gwynned Libraries have just launced a mobile information service for young people which will be visiting secondary schools in Gwynedd. The mobile Library Service will also be used it to visit primary schools to exchange books. This project involved the supply and install of red slatwall panels to hold various leaflets, and tables to hold two laptops so that youngsters can come into the van, collect information leaflets and access the website. All the panels were installed into their existing mobile van, which also included the individually printed header cards and graphics.

Cash Generator - Ellesmere Port
We have recently completed a 2 week shopfit of the latest Cash Generator franchise to open, this time in Ellesmere Port. All standard Cash Gen components were fitted all into the bare shell, completely renovating a derelict shop to a brand new and fully functioning retail store. As this project was underway, we were preparing to undertake another shopfit in Preston.

Save The Children - Wishlist Stands
During September we designed, manufactured and rolled out 160 display stands for the well known charity "Save The Children". The counter top displays consisted of a painted MDF frame, with a full colour logo applied and 9 leaflet holders in varing sizes attached to the front.

Bassaleg Post Office Shopfit
The proprietors of Bassaleg Post Office located near Newport, South Wales approached International Displays and asked us to undertake a refit of their local town Post Office. The re-fit encorporated the installation of over 20 maple slatwall panels, Tegometall bays, greeting card racks, acrylic shelving and shopfitting accessories. We also supplied a custom counter and a new shop door with security push button access. The installation took our team just 3 days to complete.

Falkland Islands Trading Company
During August we manufactured and shipped a large job for The Falkland Trading Company based on the Falkland Isles.
The order consisted of 21 Double Sided Multimedia Browsers, 8 Counter Modules, 10 Bisley Drawer Units, 24 Chart Wall Displays and 8 Full Glass Tower Showcases. All the units were powdercoarted in custom colours.

Music Room - Stratford Upon Avon
One of our largest and most established customers Music In Print approached us to completely refit their sheet music store in Stratford Upon Avon. The re-fit which was completed mid August started by stripping out all the existing fixtures and fittings back to a basic shell. All new lighting, flooring, ceiling, electrics, and slatwall was installed in just 1 week. New book browers and sheet music browsers were also put into place.

Cash Generator - Partick
Our most recent Cash Generator shopfit has been completed, this time it was in Partick, Scotland. The 2 week install was completed on time and all the Cash Generator components feature as standard. Electrics, flooring, and ceiling were all part of the install, including reworking of existing space to maximise the retail area. Checking and buying counters are always present in Cash Generator stores and are complimented buy the jewellery cabinets and window displays all in corporate colours.

Le Canon Wines - Wine Shop London
The owner of Le Canon Wines approched us after leasing premises in a prime location at Parsons Green, London, looking for a complete shop fit of his new wine shop. The store required major building works to transform it into a shell ready for the installation of all the bespoke wine units, counter and chiller units. What made this install special was the custom built wine racks that are also used as tasting areas throughout the shop.

Country Collage - Gift Shop
Country Collage is a small jewellery and gift shop located in Richmond Surrey. During the first week in July we undertook the refit of the store which included the installation of white slatwall, glass shelving, a new retail counter and a bespoke jewellery display. We also decorated the shopfront inside and out to give it a brand new look.

St.Marys School - Ascot
Towards the end of June we undertook a project to renovate an old laundry room at St.Marys girls school in Ascot and transform it into the school shop. The install consisted of a complete strip out and the installation of 20 maple slatwall panels, 4 glass display counters, Tegometal shelving with cupboards and a bespoke changing cubicle. The 3 day install was completed on time and the grand opening of the new school shop was undertaken to the delight of all the students.

Mary Queen of Charity Shops
Since the successful airing of the BBC2 television series 'Mary Queen of Charity Shops' we have been approached by several charity organisations and stores to help improve their image. European Open Golf - Official Merchandise Tent
This years European Open Golf Tournament was held at the London Golf Club in Kent. We supplied, delivered and installed a hire stand consisting of 23 maple Freestanding Slatwall Units, 3 Counters, 2 H-Gondolas, several MDF merchandising tables, and various slatwall accessories. The official event merchandisers approched us and asked us to design and supply a stand to fit within their merchandising tents open to the public over the duration of the tournament. Setup of the stand commenced one week prior to the event and was completed in just one day, and breakdown and removal was completed in just 5 hours the day after the tournament finished. Cash Generator Cheetham Hill - Shopfit
Cheetham Hill in Manchester is the location of the latest Cash Generator franchise that has opened. The 2 week shopfit included all the usual components including laminated cash desks, security doors, glass display cabinets, slatwall, browsing shelves, and all carpets, electrics and ceiling. An added feature of this store is the mezzanine floor that we had to install that will be used as a stock room.

Cash Generator Neath - Shopfit
Another shopfit for the Cash Generator franchise, this time in Neath, South Wales, has just been completed. During the 2 week install, all the usual components such as counters, slatwall, Tegometall shelving bays, gondolas and sliding glass door enclosures were installed. All flooring and electrics were also dealt with including aerial, CATV, CCTV and full test equipment bays. Wilson Staff - Golf Club Display Stands
During the last four weeks we have been installing custom made golf display stands for Wilson Staff into golf clubs and retail outlets throughout the UK and Ireland. The units encorporate a logo slatted display with a header and accessories for hanging woods, irons, gloves, bags and golf balls.

Sheltons of Peterborough - Shopfit
The final shopfit of a very busy month for us was a local one at Sheltons of Peterborough Ltd - one of the largest fishing tackle retailers in the UK. Over 100 panels of maple slatwall were installed into thier 3000 sq. ft store, along with Tegometall Gondolas and wall runs. Special slatted lockable window displays were also created to allow the merchandise of product in the windows with easy access. The stairwell was also slatted along with 10 internal doors to provide maximum display space to the store which is planning a grand opening ceremony in March.

Dents Photo - Shopfit
Continuing into February we completed another shopfit, this time for "Dents Photo" in Chesterfield. This project had a works duration of 1 week in which the store was completely gutted and refitted to spec. This included the fitting of new electrics, air conditioning units, a completely new staircase, new doors and also a new suspended ceiling. We also layed new carpet tiles, vinyl and lino throughout the store. The display components consisted of Tegometall gondolas and wall bays, glass display units, slatwall, and custom made storage counters. We also manufactured and supplied the main counter which included a gate flap for access. Additional to the shopfit we supplied all the display accessories and glass shelving. Alongside all our own work we also project managed all the contractors supplied by the client for the alarm, phone and plumbing requirements.

The Green Bottle - Wine Shop
An extremely busy February included the shopfit of a new wine shop "The Green Bottle". This wine shop is located in the small village of Chalfont St.Giles, and was completed over a 3 day period. The fit out included 30 bespoke made wine display units, several slatwall panels installing and a custom shaped laminated counter with built in cupboards. We also installed a new glazed front door and supplied all the header cards and graphics for the inside of the store.

Cash Generator Northampton - Shopfit
The Cash Generator franchise is well known all over the UK and our first full shopfit was undertaken at the Northampton store in mid February. The distinctive yellow and blue corporate colour scheme is a hallmark of their "pawn broker" shops and this was achieved by using coloured slatwall and powder coated metal work. The whole shopfit took 2 weeks to complete, and included custom lockable glass cabinets, all doors with electronic entrance keypads, sliding glass for the customer counter areas and all flooring and lighting. We are now working on numerous other franchises over the UK with several more shopfits due to take place soon.

Spring Fair 2009
Despite adverse weather conditions and the current economic downturn, this years spring fair turned out to be as sucessful as past years. We again installed a number of stands for our clients and exhibited on our own stand promoting International Displays, Slatwall Displays and MDF Displays as leaders in the shopfitting and display manufacturing sector. The 5 day show was preceded by 3 days of setup in which our team erected bespoke exhibition stands in numerous different halls. Our Freestanding Slatwall Unit features in all our designs as it is manufactured to be used in space only and shell schemes to provide the perfect fit with maximum display.

Burwell Post Office - Slatwall Shopfit
2009 begun with a shopfit of Burwell Post Office in Cambridgeshire. The small village post office was completely stripped out and maple slatwall installed to all walls. Several Tego bays and gondola units were also supplied along with shelving and acrylic card units. 3 Greeting card and gift wrap units were fitted to replace the existing aging displays and provide the shop with a new clean look. The install was completed in just 2 days to ensure minimal disruption to business.

Floor and Counter Top Spinners
We have recently finished manufacture and roll out of 40+ bespoke CD Spinners. 3 variants on the displays included 2 floor spinners and a counter top version. All headers and graphics were produced in our own sign studio and the units rolled out to stores all over over the UK

Pounds a Round
A very busy November ended with a new shopfit for pawn shop Pounds a Round in Dudley. The striking yellow colour scheme is very eye catching and compliments the type of items on sale. Over 20 panels of slatwall with matching edging trim was hung and various slatwall metal shelving supplied in the same yellow colour. We also installed Tegometall, window glass shelving and three bespoke counters. The job took three men just three days to complete which also included the laying of a new flooring carpet tiles.

Erotica 2008 Exhibition
Erotica 2008 took place at Olympia Arena in London and we were there to install show stands for a number of our customers. This stand for Nitelife utilises our freestanding slatwall to create a visually appealing and merhandise rich stand.

Mailboxes Etc.
Within 14 days of first contact with us the shopfit for Mailboxes Etc has been fully completed. From the initial site visit and quick quote turnaround our team of four men took just two days to totally refit the premises. 38 panels of slatwall have been installed along with Tegometall uprights and several island gondola units. The job also consisted of installing extra spot lights into the window, adjusting the existing counter, removing the low level studwall and remounting existing cupboards in the back area of the store. The owner of the shop is so pleased with his new store he has already recommended us to head office and we are due to fit out several more Mailbox franchises in the near future.

Moulton College Garden Centre
During October we installed a set of Tegometall bays with slatwall back panels into the newly built Moulton College Garden and Pet Centre. We also designed and built several island counter units to compliment the stores image and supplied many different sizes of slatwall glass shelving. Due to the nature of the wooden building nothing could be screwed to the walls, this is where Tegometall comes into its own as it is used freestanding but still keeps the versatility of slatwall.

Cash Convertors - Grays
Our first Cash Convertors refit consisted of ripping out the contents of the existing shop before installing slatwall, Tegometall and several glazed showcase units. The 3 day shopfit also included the manufacture and install of a new counter unit and a laying a new floor.

Autumn Fair 2008
This years autumn fair was as busy as usual and we were there to supply and install exhibition stands for a number of our customers. Amongst others was this stand for Edesia designed and installed using our cube display system.

ID Merchandising Team
After the completion of the Shopfit for Banks of York, we sent in our merchandising team to window dress and merchandise the store. This is one of the most important stages to gaining an increase in sales and showcase the products in question. We also manufactured and installed the shop signage outside using vinyl cut lettering.

Assembly of God - London Bookstore
During a busy August we also fitted out a new Christian bookshop in London. The complete fit-out consisted of installing maple slatwall panels throught the store and supplying a combination of both glass and wooden cabinets. The shopfit took 2 days to complete and transformed a bare carcass of a room into a fully fitted retail bookstore.

Banks of York - 4500 sq.ft 3 floor Shopfit
Our most expansive project to date was undertaken at Banks of York, the countries largest sheet music and instrument store. The 3 floor shopfit took around 4 months of planning and CAD to ensure the desired result was achieved at miniumum disruption to the store which needed to keep trading during the install. Over 4500 sq ft across the 3 floors was completely renovated including flooring, ceiling, electrics, stairwells and rails. A number of custom glass cabinets were installed with lighting and the whole shop was fitted with slatwall panels. Each item of musical instrument needed to have its own display area and thus custom units were manufactured to cater for this. Amongst drumstick units and multimedia browers we also built and supplied a new counter unit capable of taking 4 cash register terminals and behind counter storage. A large part of the project included supplying all the graphics , logos, sign printing and window displays as well as having a dedicated merchandising team on site to ensure and advise the display of product to ensure maximum visibility. The whole fit took around 4 weeks to complete with a dedicated team onsite all of the time.

Shop Fit for Movie Mix
The beginning of July saw us complete another week long shop fit, this time it was a DVD and movie store based in Ilfracombe North Devon. International Displays completely gutted the existing store and laid new flooring, installed a new ceiling and re wired the electrics. The main transformation was acheived by installing slatwall around the whole of the store in an eyecatching white and red colour scheme. A new slatted mdf counter, storage units and dvd shelving were also fitted. The outside of the store was revamped by installing a new sign and painting all the exterior woodwork. The owner of Movie Mix is thourougly delighted with his new shop and is looking forward to increased trade as a result.

The Smiling Grape - Wine Shop
A new local company, The Smiling Grape Company, opened their first retail wine shop in St.Neots, Cambridgeshire.
International Displays won the contract to refit the grade 2 listed building from top to bottom including a full re wire, new floor, external and internal signage and a range of bespoke oak units finished off with a 1800mm square wall mural of a vineyard in Spain. The job was completed over a 2 week period.

Atlantis Caps, Oxford Street, London
One of International Displays' smaller refits brought a fair few challenges. A 3 metre x 2 metre mezzanine floor on Oxford Street London was slatwall clad and bespoke cupboards and mirrors were added to give a stylish finish to a baseball cap concession. The shop was finished in 8 hours despite massive parking and access restrictions. From the before and after pictures below you can immediately see what a massive improvement has been made.

Music Room - Norwich
New slatwall and several vinyl, and sheet music browsers, were installed in the Music Room in a 48 hour shopfit. 2 teams of men worked non stop to ensure minimum downtime to the music retailers business. This is one of many stores we have re-fitted for the Music Room around the UK. The colour scheme on this shopfit centered around maple and aluminium and the browsers were fitted to enable maximum display of music books and the ability to display items through the window.

Nite Out - Aberdeen
Successful adult chain Nightlife recently opened their first party accessories store in Aberdeen. The Nite Out shop was a 4 day fit out by International Displays which included the laying of a new oak laminate floor, electrical and plumbing work, external signage and all internal fixtures and fittings. The job also entailed installing 25 sheets of slatwall with aluminium inserts and a new counter matching the shops colour scheme.

Jaysons - Birmingham
In March, Jaysons store in Birmingham knocked through into a back room and doubled the size of his retail space. International Displays won the contract to refit the newly sized store using 62 sheets of white slatwall with inserts. We also installed Tegometall bays, 11 bespoke glass cabinets, over 100 multimedia shelves and a 14 metre glass and aluminium counter. The fit was completed over 5 days and the store re-opened within 2 weeks.

Retail Merchandise Display Units
Here we showcase two new point of sale retail display stands designed and built in-house specific to customer specifications. These units will be rolled out and used in a retail enviroment to display well-being products, bath oils and soaps etc. Made from MFC and MDF, they contain glass shelves and a lockable cupboard to store stock. Also a feature of this unit is the header frame which allows the company logo to be displayed. We are able to powder coat MDF to virtually any colour, in this case the units were white and had the logo and text added which were all printed in-house by our large format digital vinyl printer.

Hawley Garden Centre
We have recently completed the refit and refurbishment of three sections of the Hawley Garden Centre in Dartford. The project consisted of renovating the gift, stationary and store room sections by installing slatwall to all areas. This was a particularly complicated job due to the nature of the glass buildings used in garden centres, so a lot of stud work had to be carried out prior to the installation of the slatwall. The canteen area was completely removed , the floor was levelled and the walls re-plastered. We also installed some new doors to create easy access to other areas and to complete the section we added MDF Dressers, tables and display units for product merchandising. The whole job took a team of five men, just over four days to complete, and has transformed the garden centres image completely. New signage and a dedicated product merchandising specialist to oversee the re-stock of the area added the final touch to the job.

Spring Fair 2008 Triumph
January and the beginning of February saw our attentions turn to Spring Fair 2008 at the NEC. We ourselves exhibited as well as supplying and installing stands for numerous customers throughout the many halls. The event itself turned out to be a huge success for us and the feedback received from others followed suit. The biggest trade show in Europe attracted tens of thousands of potential buyers and was a platform for many businesses to launch new products and services. Our team of installers attended 2 days prior to the opening of the show, to assemble and build stands using both our freestanding slatwall soutions, and custom built display units. Using CAD and working with our customers we can create the perfect exhibition stand to showcase you and your products.

Line 6 POD Stand
Designed specifically for the Line 6 POD System, this stand will be used instore to display and promote the POD 2.0 unit to potential buyers. When asked by our customer to produce a stand to use in all their shops, we were able to custom design and build this unit which will boost sales dramatically. Jewel In Our Crown
East Boutiques roll out 40 high quality laminated point of sale slatwall stands to their chain of UK stores. The stands will be used to hang jewellery and similar small products. These freestanding units were custom designed by our creative team to fit in with their current shop theme and provide a captivating and eye catching point of sale display.

Exhibitions Success
September was a month where some of the countries major exhibitions took place, and attendances by a number of our clients proved to be very successful. We supplied and installed many shell scheme and space only exhibition displays to customers attending The Autumn Fair and Adults Only show at the NEC. The pictures below show the stand we designed and erected for The Toy Workshop. Frosts Garden Centre - Millets Farm
The beginning of this month saw another Frost's Garden Centre shop fit completed, this time it was their Millets Farm outlet. The 2800 sq ft installation consisted of 41 slatwall and tegometall gondola's, as well as over 40 slatwall and windows units. The installation was completed in just 2 days, thus minimizing disruption to their existing trade.

Just launched on our website are a new range of wood effect counters, displays and gondolas. These units offer fantastic value for money and are all availabe in either a maple or white finish. Delivered flat packed, these units can be fully assembled on-site.

Management Buy Out - Carl Jenkin
This month we are delighted to announce the news that International Displays has been bought by Carl Jenkin. We wish him every success in his new role and hope that International Displays can continue to grow and build on the legacy that Brian Jones left behind. Carl wishes to thank all our customers for their continued business and all the staff members and inparticular Vivian whom is staying with the company to continue her role in the accounts department.

Brian Jones Passes Away
It is with much sadness that we must convey the news that Brian Jones the founder and partner of International Displays passed away this month. Our sincere condolences go out to Brians family and friends at this time and especially his wife and business partner Vivian. All the team at International Displays are deeply saddened by this news. We would like to thank all our customers and suppliers at this point for their understanding and patience at this very difficult time.

PMS International
This month we undertook one of our largest projects to date with the fitting of the new showroom at PMS International. The 12,500 sq ft showroom had over 700 panels of slatwall fitted and a huge range of gondola units manufactured and installed.

Music Room - Salisbury
May was another busy month for International Displays with several shopfittings taking place. The Music Room in Salisbury had a complete re-fit and we undertook the whole project from start to finish which included designing and installing the custom built displays, furniture and browsers as well as all the lighting and counters.
